Good Book
This is one of the best books I ever read, english or spanish. If you are first starting to read the chronicles of narnia I think this should be the last book you read. For it's the last one. This book has alot of religion in it it makes you really think about it. I lov' the Narnian stories

Laboratory Atlas in Anatomy and Physiology
Published in Paperback by WCB/McGraw-Hill (January, 1997)
Authors: Eder, Douglas J. Edei, and Shari Lewis
Average review score:

Laboratory Atlas
I found this book to be invaluable as a guide during, and for review after, the required dissections that I did in my Anatomy Lab course. The photos are clear, and the diagrams and reference tables are easy to use. I feel that I owe my successful completion of my lab course to the fact that I had a pictorial of the dissection to refer to when I couldn't quite picture it in my head. I highly recommend this book to anyone taking the laboratory course with the cat dissection included.

Laboratory Manual To Accompany Hole's Essentials Of Human Anatomy And Physiology
Published in Spiral-bound by McGraw-Hill Science/Engineering/Math (01 July, 1997)
Authors: Terry R. Martin, David Shier, Jackie Butler, and Ricki Lewis
Average review score:

THIS LAB IS FAB
I cannot say enough about how well this lab manual is written to coincide with the textbook, Hole's Human Anatomy & Physiology. Being one of the most challeging courses I have yet to take, I found this manual a tremendous help, especially with the visuals. The diagrams are fabulous and helped me tremendously to memorize the parts that were crucial on tests. The chapters on dissection were written very clearly and well organized. I found this book to be a great aid in helping me achieve an A average for my class.

Lake Boon, MA
Published in Paperback by Arcadia Tempus Publishing Group, Inc. (07 October, 1998)
Authors: Lewis Halprin and Alan Kattelle
Average review score:

Lake Boon is "Any Lake USA". A wondeful trip back in time.
Mr. Kattelle and Mr. Halprin take you back in time to where America remembers it's neighborhood resorts. Like the Catskills and Adirondacks of old, Images of America Lake Boon recalls a simpler time of leisure. Where being together in a magical place in a magical summer time is all we ever longed for. The images are wonderful. From the boat parades of 50 years ago, to ice fishermen and the oddest fun events that entertained folks of all ages. If your a "old times" buff, this book is for you. Lake Boon MA is a jewel just 30 miles from Boston.

Language and Lewis Carroll
Published in Hardcover by Walter de Gruyter, Inc. (June, 1970)
Author: Robert D. Sutherland
Average review score:

Superb scholarship
LANGUAGE AND LEWIS CARROLL by Robert D. Sutherland, Ph.D. is likely one of the most definitive scholarly works on Carroll to date. Sutherland deftly explores the fascinating linguistic structures, puzzles, and games that pepper Carroll's literary work. For any teacher, student, or reader interested in both a serious treatment of Lewis Carroll's work and a splendid model of what literary scholarship should look like, LANGUAGE AND LEWIS CARROLL is a must-read.

Language and the Brain: Representation and Processing
Published in Hardcover by Academic Press (15 January, 2000)
Authors: Yosef Grodzinsky, Lew Shapiro, David Swinney, and Lewis P. Shapiro
Average review score:

Grodzinsky, Shapiro, & Swinney have done it again!
What topic is more captivating than how the brain processes language? This engaging and highly approachable text (which is a tip of the hat to Edgar Zurif, one of the field's most productive and insightful ground-breakers) is an outstanding resource for the academic, the student, or the learned reader interested in the interface between language and the brain. The chapters span widely ranging topics, from complex syntactic processing (such as WH-Movement and co-referencing of VP-Ellipsis) to discourse processing. With contributions from the field's leading researchers, this tome is a must-have for everyone interested in how the brain processes language, in a normally functioning system as well as in a damaged system (aphasia, amnesia).

Las cartas de Screwtape
Published in Paperback by Editorial Jus (01 January, 1993)
Author: C. S. Lewis
Average review score:

Life in Hell
There are two persons I am acquainted with, yet I don't know enough about them. One is God. The other is the devil. Knowing who the devil is the devil might seem a silly enterprise. After all, he is called the Liar, so anything he tells me about him may prove false.

This book is about discrediting the devil, revealing his tricks and his petty ambitions. He is shown as what he really is, a hurtful, mean creature, who perhaps deserves to be pitied, and certainly not to be feared.

Saving one's soul is a very serious business, but being serious about it doesn't mean we can't laugh our way through salvation. This book is splendorous, in its comical and humorous approach to grave moral questions, and in the superb way it reasons and argues. Truth shines in this book, but more like sparkling laughter than as a sword of fire.

The Last Battle: A Young King Must Fight to Save Narnia (Radio Theatre)
Published in Audio Cassette by Tyndale House Publishers (October, 2002)
Authors: C. S. Lewis and Paul McCusker
Average review score:

Timeless story now brought to life by Focus on the Family
We already have the full collection of Chronicles of Narnia books, but this radio theater version is a very welcome addition. As adults, my husband and I were as captivated as our children while listening to this series on CD. This is more than simply a book being read aloud, it is like really being there and hearing the story unfold. We especially enjoy this CD series for trips in the car, as the time passes quickly while enthralled with the plot. It is a wonderful book series, and if you can't find time for reading, this is a great way to expose your family to good writing. "The Last Battle" happens to be the last book in the series, so be sure to start with "The Magician's Nephew" and "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" first. I don't know if Focus on the family has produced the entire series yet or not, but we've listened to those first two and loved them.

My kids really loved the story and the illustrations
The story was great. The computer illustrations were wonderful. Between the two, I just had to read part two of the series, and my children made me order part 3.

The Last Bus to Albuquerque
Published in Hardcover by Longstreet Press (September, 1994)
Author: Lewis Grizzard
Average review score:

Louie, We Hardly Knewee!
If you've read anything else by Lewis Grizzard, then you owe it to yourself to read this book. (It's called "closure," and you probably need it.) This book is living proof that the good die too young. I'll sure miss this guy (sniff.)
